A lifelong Rockport resident and graduate of Rockport-Fulton High School, Keith Barrett has spent nearly two decades serving the people and coastal resources of Aransas County. As Executive Director and Harbor Master of the Aransas County Navigation District (ACND), Barrett led major recovery efforts after Hurricane Harvey, secured grants, rebuilt critical infrastructure, and protected Rockport and Fulton’s working waterfronts through growth and change.
Now, Keith is ready to bring that experience, accountability, and commitment to the Aransas County Commissioners’ Court.
Leading with Experience
Keith has spent his career solving problems—not talking about them. From navigating complex marine construction projects to stewarding public assets and taxpayer dollars, Keith knows that leadership means planning ahead, asking tough questions, and delivering results that stand the test of time.
As County Commissioner, he will continue to advocate for responsible growth, improved infrastructure, and coastal stewardship, while ensuring local government is transparent, accountable, and responsive to the citizens it serves.
